Camping without power offers a unique opportunity to reconnect with nature and enjoy a simpler way of life. While it may require some adjustments, it can be a rewarding and enriching experience. Here are some recommendations to help you prepare and enjoy your off-the-grid camping adventure:

  • Consider a solar-powered charger or a portable power station for limited device charging.
  • Bring lighting options like headlamps, lanterns, flashlights with spare batteries.
  • Pre-charge any electronic devices before leaving home - especially your phone.

Currently, our single campsite is only setup for primitive tent camping.

Indiana weather can be unpredictable, so let's chat about staying safe and dry when bad weather strikes.

  • Invest in a good tent: Ensure your tent is waterproof, has a sturdy frame, and enough room for you and your gear. Check the seams for leaks and reapply seam sealer if necessary.
  • Pack for the worst: Bring rain gear (jacket, pants, and boots), a tarp for extra shelter, and plenty of dry clothes. Don't forget a headlamp and extra batteries, and consider waterproof bags for your valuables.
  • Know the forecast: Stay updated on weather reports and be prepared to adjust your plans if necessary.

Remember, safety is paramount. If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe during a storm, don't hesitate to head to a more secure location.

There are situations where a refund or transfer can be provided. Visit our 75woods profile on Hipcamp for details.
